O'Connor Traded to Padres

According to baseball sources, the Nationals traded LHP Michael O'Connor yesterday to the San Diego Padres.

The rest of the transaction was not divulged, but according to the source, O'Connor will report to the Padres Triple-A affiliate in Portland, OR.

The 28-year old George Washington University product has a lifetime MLB record of 4-9 in 26 appearances (21 starts), with a 5.45 ERA and 1.430 WHIP in parts of 2006 and 2008.

This season, he was 2-6 in 14 appearances (10 starts) between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse.

There has been no annoucment or confirmation of the deal from the team as of this writing.
